  • Hydraulic Hammer Method
  • There is a trustworthy company, a company that strives, and a construction centered on it.
  • Percussion method is the best among ready-made pile driving methods because of high bearing capacity and low cost .
  • Hydraulic Hammer method use Hydraulic cylinder to lift up the ram
  • Superior to diesel hammer type regarding environment because of no scattering of fuel oil
  • Working efficiency is very high because of high speed of tamping by adoption of free drop way.
  • Can adjust percussion energy for the most suitable to pile strength by adjusting height of ram. It can secure stability and suitable designed bearing capacity of ground
Item Hydraulic hammer Diesel hammer
Adjust the falling height of ram Possible Impossible
Noise Low High
Scattering of fuel oil No Yes
Weight ratio against identical energy Heavy Light
Superiority according to working ground Soft ground Hard Ground
Tamping efficiency High (DKH=75~100%) Low ( Less than 30% )
Change at Tamping efficiency based on heat Light Heavy
  • 1. Set the order of construction management for pilot percussion
  • 2. Decide height of ram
  • 3. It is recommended to keep tamping height lower than allowed
  • 4. Check penetrated depth whether penetrated as planned depth
Check tamping sound of hammer and vibration of hammer. When it reached the fixed bearing layer, the sound will be bigger and hammer     body will rebounded
  • 5.Try retesting percussion when it is not reached at fixed bearing layer.
  • 6. When it reached, record the depth of penetration and rebound volume on pilot report
  • 7. Put those results on the calculation formula of active bearing force and confirm whether the results are larger than the designed bearing     capacity.
  • 8. Decide the final height of ram based on result
  • 9. If you have any doubt of the above items, adopt Dynamic Loading Test (PDA) or Static Loading Test to insure.
